We recently hired Garry and his crew at Sterling Okanagan Builders to manage our home renovation project. We had big plans which included a large extension, a detached garage and complete interior and exterior remodeling of our dated home. The project was quite extensive and high end; and Garry delivered as promised! He was instrumental in acquiring the building permits, geo-technical surveys and a bylaw variance permit. He worked effortlessly with our design team with a keen eye to detail and excellent construction knowledge to make our vision into a tangible reality. Garry is very approachable, conscientious, and committed to making sure all details were completed to satisfaction. In fact, this is what impressed us the most. From day one, he was excited about our plans and how he could be a part of making our project a success. We would meet regularly to discuss progress and tweaks to the design and he was always available and adaptable when we made last minute changes or added new construction elements that were more advanced than the average build. Based on his construction knowledge, interpersonal skills, and commitment/dedication, we would have no hesitation recommending Garry and Sterling Okanagan Builders. We are more than pleased with the excellent work that was done to create our dream home!  

We hired Sterling Okanagan Builders to build our new home in Kaleden B.C. When we had our first meeting with Garry to discuss the build and budget I was very impressed with his knowledge, suggestions and enthusiasm in the project. Once the build got started everything went like clock work. Gary and his crew were very professional and well organized through out the entire build. The site was never disorganized, when materials were delivered you could tell they were placed in well planned areas that made sense to the course of the build. Garry always kept WorkSafeBC a factor to the project so no hazards were created that would cause injury to anyone working or visiting the site. When an unforeseen change to the build arises or a change by us Garry was very accommodating, he would never approve a change with out our consent first. Communication was never an issue. The final build was with-in the timeline and budget laid out. We would highly recommend Sterling Okanagan Builders as Garry and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They made our new house build a stress free endeavor. The end result is a well built house that we now refer to a Home we will enjoy for years. 

 Garry and the Sterling Okanagan Building team were wonderful to work with in the planning and construction of our dream home in Okanagan Falls. We had a hard time finding a builder that we clicked with and found that Garry is someone who truly cares about his clients. He is extremely trustworthy and goes above and beyond to ensure quality work.

Along the process, Sterling Okanagan Builders were upfront about changes to the schedule and any cost overruns experienced. There were of course challenges building a home during the Covid-19 pandemic with increasing prices of supplies and shortages. Other challenges presented themselves with sub-contractors, but alternatives were given to us on short notice and Sterling project managed any issues that arouse during our building process with professionalism and tact.

Sterling Okanagan Builders were very communicative and provided us with constant updates. As we were building our home from a distance, he provided us with photographs so we could see the progression of the build. When we visited the construction site, it was always tidy and clean.

The Sterling Okanagan Builders team always gave attention to detail and provided a quality product that went above building code. Our energy advisor tested the house and we obtained a higher BC Step Code in energy efficiency and we were able to access rebates.

You can absolutely tell that Garry and his Sterling Okanagan Builders team truly enjoy what they do and would not hesitate to recommend them for any project whether it be a renovation or a full-home build. 

We had the good fortune to have Garry and his team of professionals complete a renovation project on our vacation property in Oliver. His customer first focus and attention to detail made the process seamless and quite satisfying. A great listener, communicator, punctual, well organized and always open for suggestions. Job site safety and cleanliness were company values and that philosophy was cascaded to all his subcontractors. Garry and his team added value to our project and their commitment to quality is well appreciated. We will most definitely work with Garry and Sterling if the opportunity arises once more.
